Well, so we didn't win... but we felt like we did!
Our first time hosting a visiting team came off without a hitch... and the sea of green supporting us was inspiring. We had been practicing for weeks in preparation for this full-length game against a team whom we had met previously for 15-minutes in a round-robin tournament in Austin.
We lost that game by a long shot, but we were ready to give them a run for their money this time around.
We got down early in the first period, giving Ass City the lead by 10 points, and then they stretched the lead to 24 by the end of the 2nd period. But we came back for the final 20-minute period, determined to change the tide, and managed to cut their lead to 13 by the final jam.
Our stellar defense held Ass City scoreless in the last 4 jams of the game!
The game was extremely defensive on both team's parts, considering that many games often wind up with double the points in only 40 minutes. The final score was 78-65, Assassination City's Special Ops going home with the win.
Relive the Action!
